Canary couldn't agree more with Robin's statement. Movement was the key to staying alive with this guy. He was strong and well-equipped, And now...she was weak and having trouble concentrating. It wasn't fatigue...it was too early in the battle for that to happen. She figured it might be something in that gas. Although the explosion and her sonic blasts had helped to dissipate it, she had still inhaled some of it. She might only be standing now due to willpower and adrenaline.
No, wait...there was something else. Just looking at him was making her nauseous. Her attention focused on that artificial eye...that must be it. "Don't look at his face!" she shouted to the other superhero. "His eye!" She shook her head, trying to clear the cobwebs. She charged at the assassin, but her body seemed sluggish. She kept her eyes on his hips, where she could still read his movements fairly well.

Fritz only glared as one of the "supergirls" atop of the higher building disappeared in a puff of smoke. This was supposed to give her some sort of camouflage or advantage, hiding her from normal sight. Not that it helped much - Fritz's heat vision was switched on ever since he engaged in toxic smoke fight, so he too was able to see through it. However, he did not pursue Robin - she obviously wanted him to engage in hit-an-run battle, and maybe lure him into a trap... A trap that may involve batman. No, Fritz was not dumb to fall for it.
And even if he were, there was still a matter of Black Canary, who, instead of running away, was dashing at him in a desperation attack. Fritz only chuckled when he heard the things about his eye and about how they should not look at him. They did not understand yet that it did not matter if they look at him, but that all that matters is HIM looking at them. The girls could look anywhere, and it won't help them from feeling hurt and harmed. First things first however, he still had to deal with the annoying canary. Fritz turned around to face her, but did not make any move to attack. He simply waited till the girl went close enough, but ... did not launch a kick... Instead, he all of a sudden activated his jetpack to launch himself at the girl with speed of over 300 miles peer hour, in a dash, aiming to clubber her with sheer mass of his suit. The girl looked like she was fatigued and sluggish... He should have succeeded to hit her this time. No amount of training would compensate for element of surprise and sheer speed of the attack, or so he thought...

Well, Robin was now finally ready to become a part of this game. She had prepared herself from behind the smoke and was ready to get started. How would he react to her style of fighting? Robin was rather talented at evasive maneuvers, just as Batman was. This alone was the reason that they could compete with supers. Robin was ready for a fight, though Canary looked like she was about to get the wind knocked out of her.
Robin ran toward the two of them. She now had her gas mask on her face, though she wasn't sure if she'd need it or not. Batman had made both he and herself immune to most types of poisons aside from those foreign to the Earth or those which had corrosive effects on the body. In any case, she soon made her way down to where the fighting was going on and directly approached Fritz. She stood a good 5 meters away from him and Canary.

Canary knew that she wasn't in shape to fight this villain, whoever he was. But she hadn't let any criminal take her down before, and she wasn't going to let one take her down now...even if he was much better equipped than the common street thug.
Suddenly there was a blur of motion, the roar of an engine, and Canary's left side exploded in agony. She heard a sickening crunch...probably a broken rib. Or more than one. It seemed he had hit her with that jet pack. She tried to turn around and track his flight, although she wasn't sure what she could do to him at this point besides spit on him. Her gauntlets were disabled and she was going to have even more trouble moving now that her ribs were broken. She tried to move, but she could feel her vision fading. She felt herself collapse. She hoped Robin could get her out of here...cause she might not make it on her own power.

Fritz couldn't help but feel satisfaction as his jetpack ram worked against this shifty and agile opponent - she was caught completely by surprise, and took the full brunt of his dash. The weight of his suit multiplied by speed of 300 mph equaled in a force comparable to being hit by a truck, with predictable results. The girl was tossed aside by the impact, and audible sounds of something breaking were heard she probably broke a bone, perhaps several. Now she was on the ground, defenseless. Maybe it was time to end this... Or not.
- Poor child, I think I broke your bones. Why didn't you run away? - an eerily calm and emotionless voice mused as the cyborg approached, taking out his scary-looking oversized hand gun out of the holster. However, when he was about to aim and pull the trigger, he heard somebody land a bit away from him. Fritz half-turned, to face the new threat. He knew who it was - the Robin girl he saw earlier. As the Canary, was fairly incapacitated, he figured he could deal with this one now ... in a rather cowardly way. He pointer the gun, but not at Robin, at the Canary.
- A wounded innocent person is lying on the ground,w writhing in pain. And a gun is pointed at her. It will be fired if you do anything foolish. What do you do? - his words sounded like a part of an exercise for police in hostage situation. Indeed, Canary was pretty much the hostage here, her wounds wouldn't allow her to dodge, should he fire. Why didn't he finish her off on sight, you may ask? Well, the truth was that he weren't paid to kill these two ... yet. And doing freebies was not his style - everything here has to be paid for. The reason for this fight was ... boredom xD He looked at Robin waiting for an answer, and was making her feel a bit more sick and dizzy while doing so...

Robin stood before him. She was as strong-willed as ever right now. As a result, she was feeling no effect from his evil eye. Her will didn't waver, not even for a second. Batman had taught her better than that. She was in a tight spot, and she couldn't back away. Right now, whatever decision she made would quite possibly end someone's life.
"She's not innocent," Robin finally said as she placed her hand on her utility built. She didn't want to let the girl die. So long as there was hope, she'd do her best to protect her, but at the same time, she had no intention of allowing a villain to get away like this. Especially not a villain as strong as the one in front of her right now. That suit made him invulnerable. If she let him get away without doing anything, she could only imagine how many other people he'd kill.
"When we become heroes... when we put our mask on, we decide that there is a cause worth dying for. We fight against evil-doers day and night because we believe there is some greater good out there. If we become heroes, we have already chosen a death sentence. Canary is prepared to die for her cause. Just as am I."
With that, Robin swiftly flipped toward him, and as she did this, she drew her grapple gun, stuck the base to the ground and shot it at both his legs. In only a moment, it would hopefully tie around his legs and she'd press the pull button. Granted, he was heavy and strong, but this was also high-powered weaponry, and it would likely take him a second or so to break free with all the force being exerted right now. However, just as a precaution, she channeled electricity through the grapple gun as well. Her only aim right now was to knock him off his feet.

Fritz demonstratively yawned under that helmet of his when the Robin gave him the justice speech shtick. He felt like he was stuck in some corny superhero cartoon made in the thirties, and, of course, he took none of it. Heroes, pfeh. Well, good like being a hero kid. In the military, title of hero was usually awarded ... posthumously. Fritz knew this, for officially he was "dead", and given some sort of a medal. He actually had his "grave" somewhere in Germany, where his parents brought flowers every year. He did not see them for a long time now... But he could not show up, not in this way.
- Then you won't mind if I shoo... - he was interrupted when the girl suddenly charged him, but as he was prepared to meet her in hand-to-hand combat, she suddenly pulled a mean trick on him with that grappling hook gun. Fritz was caught by surprise, and did not manage to react, as well as he did not expect such a strong pull which tipped him off-balance, crashing into the ground. A gunshot was heard - he took a potshot at Canary during his fall, but it only managed to leave a nasty scratch on her leg - his aim was off again. The electrical surge that came afterwards was not expected either, by Fritz that is, but it was expected by people who made the suit - the current dashed around powerlessly, having no effect on it, or the user beneath. Which was good, otherwise he'd receive a nasty shock.
- Impressive. - the voice did not sound surprised at all. The half-robot was poor on outward emotions, the best you could get from him would be slight amusement. Or amazement, or whatever. These ropes on his legs were annoying though, so in a swift move he cut those off with his wristblade, rolling upon his feet again, and, without wasting any moment, "returned the favor" with a wide arching blow with his blade, aiming to cut the girl from shoulder to waist...

Robin's attack hadn't been over with him falliing to the ground. Quickly she finished her roll and jumped up from the ground with a quick flip. Now airborn, she leaped over, this happening simultaneously as he was still standing up. She landed right on his shoulders, one of her feet was on each of his shoulders, she flipped forward right behind him, though as she did this, she pulled a Robin disc from her utility belt and would discreetly place it right on his upper back.
Now that she was on the ground right behind him, his bladed attack would most likely cause him to turn around and aim to strike her, either way, she rolled forward in an attempt to stay out of his range. Swiftly, with her superior agility, she rolled back onto her feet and faced toward him. They stood a good three meters apart, though Robin held her R-Shuriken in her hand, ready to throw it should he prepare to fire at Canary. She wasn't going to let the girl get shot if she could help it.

Fritz's blow missed the designated target - the little thing was just a little bit too fast, plus she knew he would be coming at her - otherwise a sword travels a lot faster than the body, no matter how agile. He did not notice her slapping the beacon unto his cold and hard exterior, because, no matter how elaborate, an armor could not replace skin - it cannot feel touch. Or at least his was not advanced enough to do that. Otherwise, he assumed she did not attack him, not that she'd be able to harm him anyway.
Fritz decided that he had little choice - either run around after her with swords trying to slice her, or trying shooting them down. Meh, I will miss anyhow, all super-people I faced so far had a habit of doing so... An unorthodox approach may work nicely... - he thought, his hand reaching for his EMP grenade. He did not let the opponent to react to that - it exploded in his had, catching the area where the three people where in its blast. She did see through smoke, right? That mask of hers should have had some sort of scanner, as well as any sort of tech within radius, aside from his. Without it ... she'd be restricted to her normal sight... And then...
- Twick. - and the next moment his image went ... blurry, seconds later becoming ... invisible? Can't be! That lumping hunk of an armor suit was just there ... but now it was gone, Fritz wasn't standing where he were... He vanished. But did he run away? No, not really. You can't kill what you can't see...

Robin watched as he reached into his armory and pulled something out. She was rather cautious, though being ten meters away, she didn't think she had much to fear. Plus, she didn't want to go any closer for fear of he might use it as an opening to attack Canary. Robin couldn't go too much out of her way for her fellow heroine. If the girl died, she died, and she wouldn't allow it to jeopardize her mission, but at the same time, she'd do everything in her power to protect her.
All of the sudden, some kind of electrical pulse went through the air, instantly frying Robin's mask, and probably some of her other devices. She could feel the electromagnetic impulses charging through her, but nonetheless, she remained on her feet by force of will. She wasn't going to allow herself to fall to him.
"What the hell... Is that?" She said under her breath. Nonetheless, she stayed on both of her feet. However, she soon saw him disappear before her eyes. Was it teleportation? No. She knew it wasn't. How she knew this... it was just a gut feeling. He had gone invisible.
Quickly, Robin did a number of backflips. She couldn't stop moving now, she knew that much. How else do you avoid an invisible man? She knew he had a jetpack as well, but if he used his jetpack, the force produced by it as well as the noise it would make would cue her off to his location. Last she had seen him, he was a good ten meters from Canary.
Once Robin stuck her landing she did an additional backflip flip, though this time much higher. She got a good 3.5 meters off of the ground. She reached into her utility built and pulled out a number of marbles. She quickly threw them on the ground in the immediate area. Once landed, she reached into her vest and appeared to start fondling her right breast. This wasn't exactly what she was doing, however. She grabbed another handful of marbles. Rolling to the side, she threw those as well. Then she repeated this in her left breast. She threw those to the side.
The battlefield had changed. Aside from Robin now being as flatchested as a little boy, the rooftop was now covered in marbles. These marbles would serve a number of purposes. First and foremost, they would alert her to his location. The chances that he would walk around them without stepping on them was very unlikely should he be anywhere within 5 or 10 meters of her. If he did step on them, not only would it make noise, but she'd most likely see a visual trail. She had a feeling that due to the density of his armor, however, they wouldn't actually make him trip, but rather he'd crush them.
Robin calmed down and took a deep breath. She knew she needed to keep a leveled head here. If she didn't, he might beat her. Invisibility, however, couldn't beat her alone. She had been trained by the Batman. They fought in darkness. She didn't need eyes to see.

Fritz watched what would the girl in an awkward outfit do against his marvelous suit's capabilities. He did enjoy how her jaw dropped when he became completely invisible - it was good to feel a bit superior, made forget that he was half-machine. He figured the maneuver - she was not trying to become a still target, a target that could be easily shot. However, she should tire out from jumping all the time - after all, she was not made of iron, not a robot to never get weary... Fritz simply stopped his moving, and watched the "performance" soundlessly.
When she dropped the marbles around herself, Fritz inadvertently felt like he was being in a circus... A flashback that lasted less that a moment went before his eyes... Circus, acrobats jumping around... the clown making fun of people and making them laugh... Ribbons, fires, marbles... And himself, standing in a crowd with a balloon in his hands, smiling, parents beside him... The flashback left. The scene was replaced with rubble-covered battlefield. There were no parents, instead of a balloon in his hands there was a gun. The clown was an insane maniac, and his employer, and the acrobat - his target. The only thing that did not change into twisted version of his flashback were ... marbles. He knew their purpose - they were spread to make him make a sound should he step on them. But he would not do it. He would wait. For now. He could always shoot Canary, but she would not be going anywhere, would she?
I will wait. - he thought, standing outside of marble-covered area silently. Should she stop jumping - he would attempt a shot. No need to get close to kill.

Locating him was going to be hard. He had either made an escape, or he had stopped moving. If he had made an escape by now, she was certain she would have heard him. Armored footsteps, or really footsteps in general, could be heard when a person was running quickly. It was possible that he was only walking as well. She couldn't rule that out, but she had a feeling that wasn't the case. What did he have to run away from? Everything was stacked in his favor, and if he planned on running away, he wouldn't have felt it necessary to go invisible.
In any case, Robin hadn't finished yet. She was still thinking of her next plan. She did yet another flip to the right. This time she pulled out two Grapple guns. One in her right hand. One in her left hand. Quickly, she aimed the first grapple gun in the direction of Canary. It would hopefully hit her hip and the disc would stick to her. Simultaneously Robin channeled electricity through it. Hopefully the shock would be enough to wake the girl up. If not, there wasn't much else Robin could do.
Robin finished this flip, still landing delicately in between her marbles on the tips of her toes. At the very least, now he was still being slowed down. Emily held onto the grapple gun connected to Canary tightly. She anticipated she may need to use it soon.

Fritz was growing tired of this continuous acrobatic performance. The initial thrill and excitement of the battle and whatever was slowly disappearing, and was becoming somewhat ... boring. The fight was becoming a tactical duel, which he would most likely win, but chose not to. Yet. Sure, he was not paid to kill the two wannabe heroes, small - scale crime-fighters which they were, who would most likely not represent much of a threat to him. And he'd rather not kill any costumed fellow without being paid for it first. But he had his fun, now it was time to ... do something pragmatic. He distanced himself even more, so that his steps would not be heard from the Robin's location, not that it was possible in the first place among the whining of sirens and sounds of news helicopters batting, but kept within a gunshot...
And then, he felt something flowing down the side of his face, near the ear, and felt somewhat acute pain in the ear itself. It was bleeding - the Canary's sound shot proved to be more damaging than he though, the aftereffects getting on to him now. Well this sure was ... unpleasant, guess his suit was not quite invulnerable to sound after all... For now. This should be fixed. The pain was annoying, but Fritz's suppressors shut it off, as he noticed Robin shooting a grappling gun at the Canary's body, and yellow jolt of electricity followed. He did not know if it would work or not, but he did figure the Robin would try dragging the body away with that grappling hook, that's for sure...
But enough of that. While robin still was doing jumping jacks, Fritz took off the sniper rifle from his shoulder, and followed the jumper trying to get her within his crosshairs. It was a tricky target, but yet he was a seasoned sniper, a war veteran, and a cyborg in a suit with computerized aim enhancements. He figured he could take a shot. Putting the targeting reticule a tiny bit in front of the target as she moved, to compensate, he pulled the trigger...
*BANG* - and the next moment he went on the move again, leaving the place from which he had shot. After his position change, it would be anybody's guess where he would take a shot from next...

Canary returned to consciousness with a jolt and a scream. "What the fuck, mom...?" then her eyes flew opened and she remembered. She felt like crap, and her breathing was still labored. And now there were marbles on the rooftop and she couldn't see the armored assassin. Robin's watchful gaze told her she should still be on the watchout, though. Damn, the dude could turn invisible? That was freaky. She kept her eyes and ears peeled, nervous as hell. She couldn't help but jump when she heard a bullet go by her. She turned to check if Robin was okay. Damn, she needed to figure out a way to see this dude. If her gauntlets were still working she might be able to use her sound waves to pinpoint his location, like sonar. But that was out of the question. She kicked a bunch of marbles into the air, hoping to see one bounce off something invisible.

Things had turned bad for the young heroines quickly. The black clad man before him had proven more than a match for both of them and their doom hung over them like an executioner's blade over a convict's neck. Originally, Robin had gone it alone to prove that she had learned something during her mentor's absence. Though, the assassin had proven to be of a completely different caliber. From several rooftops away Batman watched through his cowl, the infrared lenses giving him a clear idea of what was going on. If he was still Robin he would have let out a sigh and muttered something about how troublesome this whole situation this was turning out to be but he had grown beyond using such quips. He was Gotham's hero and he would act as such. With no emotion present upon his scared face he watched, at first to gauge Robin's skill and then to research his enemy. It took several moments for him to deduce several things about his unknown enemy but only a moment for him to act upon his conclusion.
He reached into his utility belt. His fingers moved with practiced dexterity as he pulled out a batarang. This batarang was different than most, however. Instead of being the typical bats shaped piece of metal it was a small flattened circle with three large, segmented blades protruding from it's edges. It resembled a true boomerang rather than the metal shurikens that he was used to throwing. Though, it's black coloring and a small bat insignia within the circle marked it as his, the Batman's. As soon as the shot was heard and the man shifted positions Batman threw the projectile. With a sure swing of the arm, followed by a quick flick of the wrist the batarang sailed out of his hand, almost silently as it sliced through the air. He watched through the infrared lenses, the cold steel appearing slightly darker than the warm air around them. It soared over the tops of the buildings separating Batman from his quarry. It wasn't until it had reached the final building that it's true nature became apparent.
The segmented blade split apart into several, smaller rectangular blades, held together by a thin cable. The Batbolo, was a strange, hardly used part of Batman's arsenal but one the he often kept on him for occasions such as this. Of course, this version was slightly modified aesthetically to fit the heir to the cowl's own taste. The bolo rocketed forward, poised to wrap it's way around the man's torso. Despite the fact that he was currently invisible to Batman's young partner and the young woman he was easy enough for the bat to spot. Batman figured it wouldn't do much against the man but it would by him a bit of time, needless to say. with his first move already made he ran forward and leaped off of the building he was perched on. He grasped his cape and felt them go taught as they caught the wind.
He soared over one hundred feet of stone at least twenty stories above the ground. The wind and his training carried him effortlessly over the gap. He landed with a soft thud between the women and the armored thug, crouched low. He stood up slowly, his cape draped around him, making him a black blob against the night skyline of Gotham. "Robin," he said, his voice was heavy, menacing in the most heroic ways. "Get her and get out of here. You two have done enough." he said as he eyed the dark figure who stood, invisible to the naked eye before him. If one were to walk across the scene it would have appeared strange. Batman, speaking with his back turned with the only figures in sight. Only a strange feeling of danger signaled that there was another on the roof.
Batman had finally joined the fray and his aura only seemed to add to the increasingly dark aura that was currently clouding the rooftop.
