The best thing about dating the Flash was that whenever she needed him, she could get him almost instantly. She had just sent him a text message no more than a couple seconds ago, and hopefully he would be responding to her call soon. She needed him, after all if she was going to be successful in this endeavor.
As for now, she stood on top of the STAR Lab's rooftops. Just before she texted Flash, she had disabled their security cameras and alarm systems. She was pretty talented when it came to that type of technology, not because she was a genius, but rather because it was one of the skills that Batman had taught her to help her better serve as Robin.
Unfortunately, she couldn't get Batman to help her on this particular mission. What she was doing right now, was not only slightly immoral, but also somewhat reckless. She didn't care right now. She had motives and objectives. She had done her research, and now she was ready to set things into action.

Flipping up his phone as he sat up on his bed, reading who it was from - Ah, Emily. Reading it as he rubbed his chin gently as he quickly changed into his awesome uniform and got all geared out for his adventure and before most people could even send a text back he was already in Gotham. And a few second's after that right behind her, Finally stopping as he planted his lip's on her cheek from behind. "Ello there beautiful."
He smirked a bit as he walked around her. "You messenged me - Surely this is an awesome date with a nice view and we decided to go with the costume theme right?" He joked, He knew that it was obviously something going on or else she woulden't be in her robin-persona. "So, What are we doing? Rescueing Hostages, Curing cancer, Or better yet a big bad evil person who is planning to dominate the world inside?" He said once more jokingly with her. He must say, With her his information was much better - He really had no way of gathering information about robberys outside of what he heard or saw running around town. He had a police scanner but those thing's barely worked anymore and most of them were to bulky and he lacked the proper tool's to actually build himself a good one. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

His response time was excellent. He was rather dependable. He was there in much less than a minute. Even she had expected him to take longer than that... at least for him to notice the text and to read it. It would have made things much harder if he hadn't showed up. She wasn't even sure if she could do this without him. Robin smiled and blushed just a bit as he kissed her on the cheek, though as of right now, she had serious business to attend to. All jokes would have to be put aside for now.
"No, nothing like that," she answered him with a perfunctory giggle. He was funny. That was one of the reasons she was so attracted to him. She shook her head and turned to face Flash. Though now, her expression was one quite a bit more serious.
"Inside this building there are special suits here made out of..." she paused for a moment, having forgotten the name of the particular materials. She was never quite as studied as the other Robins had been, nor Batman, though she was still rather resourceful. "Extraterrestrial materials..."
"We need exactly two of those suits in order to get to Atlantis."

He sighed at the girl's seriousness but he guessed he couldn't blame her for that. Although the blush made it worth it. Listening to her explain about the special suit's. Blinking as she paused. "....ooooooooooooohh interesting, I want a special suit now..."
He rubbed his chin thinking about it. However when the girl continued it caused Flash's head to tilt. "...Riiiiiighhht... Seriously though, What are the suits for and all? Oh...second off - why are we stealing them?" He rubbed the back of his oddly, Weren't they suppose to stop thief's. He also figured that the girl was joking with the whole Atlantis thing. "Oh, and on that subject - Who's getting the second one..." he smiled a bit. Then looking down Chris noticed her new 'tool' pouch as he blinked a bit. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"I just told you," she answered both of his questions simultaneously. Wasn't he paying attention? Couldn't he tell how serious she was. Perhaps she was so used to working with Batman with whom she was so perfectly attuned with she didn't have to explain things more than once, if at all. He didn't have to explain things to her either. Chances were she'd just have to get used to working with him for a while. Maybe then they could truly be in tune with each other.
"We're going to go find Aquaman. We're going to bring him to justice," she said. She was obviously still holding a grudge with the man after what he had done. That was one of the first times she had ever been so humiliated, after all. She had never dealt with a super human like that before. Flash was of the first super humans she had ever met.
"Both of us."

"....Wait, Atlantis wasn't a joke?"
He tilted his head, man he needed to stay up on stuff like that. 'Note to self: Atlantis is a real place, must explore further!' As she explained he tilted his head even more so. "So....you're idea....Is to go to Atlantis...And bring him back to the surface? bearing in mind that he gains even more power while he is IN the water, as well as the fact he is king with an army more then likely right? Now, I'm keeping in mind gold fish but when it comes to those shark's....." He said slowly shaking his head. ".....Not exactly the brightest idea I've heard........No offense" Rubbing his head and gently sighing. "The only way we can bring him to justice Cause I sure as hell am not punching the guy again, is to bring him to the surface and as far away from water as possible or have it drain as soon as he gets there so no hope of him using it..." The pain shot up his arm as he talked about the punching the guy. The man was quite the sheet of armor - not wise to punch. But, knowing that - a baseball bat of some sort would be...useful - if he only made the man go oof with his hand - A nice wood or aluminum baseball bat ought to make him go ow at least. "I-D-Don't mean to offend you...It's just, my thought's..." He poked his finger's together, so he was bad at socializing and pretty much just called Emily an idiot for her plan and felt like crap. "I'm sorry..." he said suddenly, he didn't really apologize often however. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

She already knew much of what Flash had said. Robin had thought of this, she was no idiot, but irrationality seemed to prevail in this current state of mind she was in. She hated nothing more than feeling defeated, and right now, she felt more defeated than she ever had before. She couldn't just let him get away with it. Her incompetence angered her.
"So you're okay with this?" she asked Flash, quite obviously upset. Truth be told, she wasn't sure if she was more upset with a criminal being on the loose or at her failure itself. She crossed her arms and turned away from Flash.
"You're fine with letting him just stay out there on the loose?"

He blinked as she snapped at him, tilting his head to the side as she looked away from him hearing her. Quickly turning her around and gently kissing her on the lip's. "Did I say that? I Said we simply have to trap him... Besides - it's easier then stealing suit's no?"
He smiled a bit. "Who would I be if I didn't agree with you - The only reason I let him go the first time around because of my hand..." He sighed a bit looking at her. "You shouldn't be so quick to rush into such unfavorable position's. Besides, I couldn't call myself a man if I let you go down to such depths only if we have a very high chance of getting defeated..." he knew he had upset her, but he didn't know any other way of breaking it to her. Rubbing his temple gently as he thought. "...He might be tempted by us re-opening the aquarium with all knew fishie hostage's.... But..." He groaned sitting cross legged. "...That would be expensive as hell" looking up to her face. "I am sorry I offended you... I... was just thinking outloud..." He laid back, relaxing - yes, an odd place to do so but hey - He was a odd character. "I would hate to think our only option was to face him with a home field advantage... But we may have to unless we can get something he wants so bad that he would attack again..." [/blockquote][/blockquote]

The idea that Flash had given was quite obviously terrible. Robin didn't even have to say it. He admited it himself. There wasn't really a way to lure him out of the bottom of the ocean. Even if he did emerge from the ocean, they would never know of it unless he made himself blatantly obvious from the start. The chances they would find and catch him were incredibly low.
"But stealing isn't right... I know..." she said reluctantly. As her senses kicked in, she couldn't even believe that she was thinking about doing something illegal to catch him. It wasn't like her. She was usually much more respectful to laws than this. She had been changing in the past few days.
"There's nothing we can do anymore,"

Hearing her say that he sighed and stood back up wrapping his arm's around her side's as he kissed her forehead. "...I promise that if we do see him again - we are going to kick his ass..."
He smiled a bit looking at her eye's. "Now, If you want - It's still early. We can always go stop some burglers or something" he shrugged a bit slowly kissing her lip's. "Or we can stay up here and enjoy the view?" He said casually. He could tell that something in her changed, But he didn't know her to long and beside's - It must have felt crappy having to let one guy go... But, for some reason Flash wanted to give him credit and trust the man to go straight... I mean, If he didn't Flash would simply have to catch him later simple as that. "So, Whatcha wanna do?" [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Stupid Science Police," Danny muttered under his breath. His journey up the ladder of super-villaindom had hit a slippery rung. The high-tech branch of the Metropolis Police Department, called the Science Police, had managed to get the drop on him in an undercover sting. Before he'd had time to react they had him tranq'd and locked up in a special holding cell that had some sort of weird heat field that kept him from using his abilities outside it. They were letting the geeks at S.T.A.R. try and figure out the nature of his powers, presumably so they could remove them. However, most of the staff had gone home for the night which left him stuck cooling his heels in a cramped little room with a couple of tight-lipped guards. Danny sighed, leaned back and shut his eyes in a half-hearted attempt to try to get some sleep. However, just as he was shutting his eyes he noticed a flicker from the lights in the room. Without much sound or fanfare the heat-field was suddenly just gone. The guards had their backs to him and had yet to notice this development. A slow, sly sneer crossed his lips as he cracked his knuckles and dialed up his abilities. Minutes later, Cold was out of his cell and his watchdogs were safely encased in ice. They'd thaw out later and probably have a cold themselves but they'd be fine. He peeked around the corner and saw a larger squad of guards that were armed with some rather advanced looking weaponry. Given where he was that wasn't much of a surprise. However, he didn't really feel like finding out what those things did to a person. At least not when this place was expecting him. No use risking going back into that stupid heat-cell again. Danny looked around a minute and found a maintenance ladder that was probably used to work the lighting and vents. He climbed his way up and spotted a skylight not too far from the ladder. He wasn't a gymnast by any stretch but he was pretty sure he could make that... Right? Cold held out his palm and formed a thick, foot long icicle which he launched like a javelin at the skylight, shattering the glass. He tensed his legs and jumped the gap, grabbing the edge of the skylight's frame with the tips of his fingers. He gasped and pulled himself up with every ounce of strength he had until he hauled himself over the side. After reaching the room, he rolled over on his back and had himself a burst of hysterical, triumphant laughter. Next, he pushed himself onto his feet and smirked over into the skylight, flipping it the bird. "Sayonara, Nerd Police!"He crowed, chuckling. He then turned around to leave and almost smacked right into two costumed teenagers that had been directly behind him the whole time. Startled he jumped back and eyed them up quickly glancing over his shoulder at the broken skylight. Almost as if on cue, whatever had knocked out the alarms had apparently been detected and fixed as they suddenly blared loudly to life. Cold paused and glanced at the pair in front of him. After a beat he gave a wry smirk and a resigned shrug "Don't suppose you'd buy that I'm the night-time roof janitor, huh?"

Robin's attention was swiftly shifted to the man who had just run out of the building's exit and was now on the roof, accompanied by the alarm systems. Who was he? She had never seen him before now... but he was coming out from S.T.A.R. labs and he didn't seem to be working there. Robin gently pried herself out of Flash's arms.
"I wouldn't buy that," Robin spat back. Something was going on here, though she didn't know what it was.
"Who are you?!" She demanded crossly.

Why did everyone have to ruin their moment's? As someone had nearly ran right into them he blinked looking the guy over quickly as Robin pushed away from him he softly sighed turning to the man. "...I have to say - Ditto"
He shrugged, nothing else he could say that Robin did not handle as he just watched the guy - Not like he could really escape at this point he had come across a duo of heroes after all. Rubbing his chin "...Maybe it's just me but, I rather hate all these interruption's..." Shaking his head looking back at the man - he looked odd. "...I would buy it, if you didn't say that I wouldn't buy it... It's kind of a stupid question no?" Okay, So Flash was a bit sarcastic - But with the alarms was a dead give away. "So, You going to surrender or make us have to waste time to throw you right back to where you were?" He asked casually as if it was a everyday thing - which at this point it was for him. "I'm a nice guy to offer, I'm sure Robin would just like to beat the shit out of you..." He gave a tacky smile. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Who am I?"Danny repeated, cocking an eyebrow and sneering back at the pair of them. He linked his fingers around his eyes in a mock mask and gestured vaguely at their outfit with a snort of barely suppressed laughter. "More like who are you two supposed to be? The Baby Crime Squad?"Cold glanced over his shoulder at broken skylight behind him. He knew it would only be a matter of time before someone noticed that broken glass on the floor. Part of him wanted to stick and around and get a little payback for their hospitality but he knew the prudent choice would be to get out of here and sucker punch the Lab and the Science Police when they had almost forgotten about him. That meant he'd have to ditch the pair of sidekicks that had the bad luck to get in his way but from the looks of it he'd be surprised if either one of them could even drive yet. As the guy of the duo sent out a taunt or at least some bravado, Cold took a closer look at him. The costume began to stir up a memory of news reports he used to read about Captain Cold when he first got started in all this. The red and yellow, the lightning bolt, those prong things on the side of his head. Cold's eyes widened a minute and then a wolfish smile stretched across his face. "Hey, now. I recognize that costume," Cold revealed slowly. He let his hands fall to his side but tilted his wrists and opened his palms so they faced towards the roof. He called up his ability ever so slowly, letting the temperature around them all drop quickly but subtly. "So, you're the new Flash?" Danny inquired, tilting his head to one side curiously.
"Well, the name's Cold. As in Captain, which I guess means I'm you're very first new Rogue." He concluded, letting his power channel through his hands. Frost began to form on the rooftop around him expanding outward in small spidery tendrils that thickened into patches of ice. "And I've been waitin' on a chance to see if you live up to that bolt." His hand lashed up and thrust out towards the pair of them as it shot a blast of cold their way.

"Whoah! It's getting cold!" Robin exclaimed. That was an understatement. It was getting much colder and fast. She was wishing that she had brought with her a jacket, or at least had her arms and legs covered a little more. She couldn't stop herself from shivering. It was so cold and she was getting goosebumps.
Emily quickly realized that something odd was happening as the man prepared an attack. She tried to get her body to move out of the way, but she was so cold that her blood was beginning to feel frozen. She had never felt like this before, and only a second later, a blast came directly for her.
