Flash sped threw the forest searching for the helmet. He had heard that the Dr. Fate helmet went missing, as read in the newspaper He's a bit low tech on finding trouble but he manages. A speedster like him should be able to find this helmet in the blink of an eye. But for some reason he couldn't find it. One would think he could find something like a magic helmet with his speed. It was getting pretty annoying.
So Flash began looking for anything abnormal. And he did find something odd. That he seemed to not notice before. There was area that seems colder than normal. He stopped running for a moment. Walking around, looking for where this chilliness came from. Soon he could see his own breath. "berrrr... did someone leave the fridge open?" He chuckled a little then kicked dirt. "oh... come on Flash you can do better than that." he mumbled to himself about failing on a cold joke or is it pun. note: kid flash should show up later in this thread.

"Aw, c'mon. Where is this magical friggin' head-bucket?" Cold grumbled as he searched the area. According to his sources he was pretty close to the source of the explosion that had tagged the hapless helmet thieves. He had called up a friend that was in the villain business but on the science side to ask for some advice. The egghead had owed him a favor and given him a reasonable theory on where to search for whatever had been blown away by the big boom. Danny had been digging through bushes and kicking over logs for almost an hour now and still had zilch.
What'd this thing do just get up and fly away?
Danny paused. It was a magic helmet, after all. It was completely within the realm of possibility, he supposed. Danny scratched his head a moment and then shrugged and continued the search. He was so zeroed into looking that he hardly heard the noise behind him. He heard the cocking of a gun and turned around to see a smarmy looking cop aiming at him.
"This is a crime scene, so freeze buddy!" The cop ordered.
"Man, you really shouldn't give me lines like that." Danny smirked. The cop raised an eyebrow but Cold's hand had already snapped up like a cobra and unleashed a blast of absolute zero completely encasing the hapless officer entirely in ice. Cold glanced past the man and saw he had a partner still waiting in the car who was now frantically trying to grab onto the radio. Cold frowned and fire another blast, this time letting frost build up over the entire vehicle.
His efforts had dropped the temperature quite a bit in the small area around him and there were even a few flakes of snow blowing through the air now. Cold was about to turn back to his search when he his ears pricked up at the sound of a familiar whoosh. He peered around a nearby tree and half expected to see that Kid Flash character with some of his Baby Crime Squad buddies but was surprised. This guy was older with a costume more in line with the traditional Flash.
Cold briefly considered launching straight into a sneak attack since the guy was actually holding still and hadn't noticed him yet. He didn't, though. That just wasn't his style. That sort of thing was for knuckle-dragging mooks that didn't know the rules to the Game.
"Some weather we're havin', huh pal?" Danny called, forming a simple snowball in his hand and tossing it at the scarlet speedster.

Flash wondered around the cold area finding nothing. He sighed and rubbed his arms because of the chilly weather. He wondered if he should of warn a warmer Flash suite. He continued walking around in search for the helmet or what ever was making it cold. Though he should be looking for the helmet before a villain does. Though maybe the source of this cold is the helmet. He just wasn't very sure about that. He decided to continue walking until it got very cold. If it continued to get colder and colder. Maybe it is the helmet that is causing this.
So he walked and walked soon wondering why he isn't running instead. Well that was probably because there could be ice on the ground somewhere. And he may slip on a match of ice at any moment. That would be embarasing if he slipped and shot across the ground. And if people saw it would be even worse. Though whats worse is that this cold could be coming from a villain. So he walked instead of running and it was annoying. He hated being slow and he was getting bored of this search. He turned and there he saw a man. A man that started to speak to him. "Uh... ya its pretty chilly, who are you?" He said wondering about this guy. He didn't look like a police man or a super hero so is he villain or a civilian. [note: -_-' sorry about the wait and this post. my muse is a bit weak lately.]

"Name's Cold." Danny introduced himself as he crossed his arms over his chest. He wondered if this guy had anything to do with the other speedster he had run across in Metropolis. Although that one had been paling around with a Robin so it was possible some group of kids had decided to put together another of those Titan groups. The thought the Girl Wonder made him pause and glance around the forest. The last thing he needed was Batman to sneak up on him if these guys followed the same pattern.
"Took it in honor of Captain Cold. Figure the same way you took yours from the old Flash, right?"He said, arching a brow. He stepped out from under the tree and walked along the tree line. Danny wasn't quite ready to get completely out in the open with a speedster staring him down. He unfolded his arms and let his hands hand down, stretching his fingers. Frost began to form along the ground where his fingers pointed and icy flurries shaped in the air before they were carried away by a breeze.
"I'd also guess that unless hanging out in the Back o' Beyond has become the new trend, we're probably out here looking for the same thing." Cold flexed his fingers again and sent out another pulse of absolute zero through his hands, causing the ice on the ground to spread out in a circle around him like a stain on the carpet.
"Got somebody lined up for a big payout for that enchanted brain-case." The rogue glanced at the hero with a long look. "So, if you're lookin' to take it back to that museum I hate to tell you but you're out of luck."
