Scorn was still learning more and more about his powers. It was something to get use to, but it proved to him that he had more potential in himself then he ever imagined. He was still adapting his powers to his prior training from the League, and it seemed to make him more then just a formidable foe, all he needed now was just a formidable adversary to put them to the test against. Still, his training was the one things that will lead to his perfection, especially if he was to lead a team.
He was use to working solo mostly, before he joined the H.I.V.E. He didnt know that there were more people who shared his same goals around the world. The H.I.V.E. was well established to make him into what he wanted to be. He wanted to be here and didn't need mind control to make him think otherwise. He knew what he was and he liked it, nothing could sway his judgment and what he wanted to do.
Scorn was thinking about all of this while he waited in the Training Room to meet the team he would be working with. He was fully dressed in his costume, the handlers wanted them to make sure they would have a good chemistry together and get the job done.
He leaned against the wall and started to play around with his powers between his hands, trying to see how bright and how much he could put into them, without straining himself.

Lee made his way down the corridor at his own unhurried pace. His headphones were in place and blocking out any distracting noises that the hallways of the academy might possess while his eyes were firmly fixed on the small, brightly lit screen of his cellphone. His thumb flashed across the touchscreen with surprising alacrity with a few rapid bleeps and bloops emitting from the machine. At the moment, he was simultaneously conversing with an associate at Lexcorp and critiquing the findings of a specialist in extraterrestrial technology working out of CERN.
While he had other things he would much rather be doing, he had gotten the hint that this little meet and greet of HIVE's best and brightest was mandatory. Putting up too much of a fuss might lead to some questions about that dratted mind-control the headmistress employed here.
As that would be troublesome, he continued on his way until he entered the training room. There was someone already there, showcasing what appeared to be electrical discharges from his hands. Lee didn't bother to even glance up from his phone and instead opted to walk over to an unoccupied section of wall that he then claimed as his own. His music continued to play and his thumb continued to maneuver across the screen as he waited in silence for whatever was to come next.

Scorn saw as another person walked in and he stared at him. Lowering his hands, he stopped the use of his powers. Taking in the other male, he noticed what seemed to him that he was trying to block out the world. He wasnt sure yet though, because he never meet the guy. Only seen him in passing amongst the school. Even though he noticed the boy was wearing headphones, he was going to get him involved and see what he could prove for said team.
He whistled loudly to get the other males attention. He knew it was rude but it was also rude not to introduce oneself especially if you were going to be working together. He also began to wonder where could the others be or if there were going to be others. When he felt he had the other guy's attention he spoke to him. "You know its common courtesy, to introduce yourself to someone your particularly stuck in a room with?" He pushed himself off the wall and began to walk along the other side of the room. "Don't know if we should go by real names or codenames, what do you think?"

Lee didn't respond, immediately. Instead he finished up his conversations via text message and sighed. He glanced up finally and took a moment to size up his supposed new teammate. At the question regarding names he arched an eyebrow but again said nothing for several heartbeats. Given the notoriety of his uncle and his own position in the public eye due to Lexcorp, he wanted a certain amount of discretion involved with his association with HIVE. However, he doubted it would be difficult to uncover the identities of those on this team and imagined the same would be true in reverse.
"Gear, is my assigned codename. Our identities are hardly impenetrable enigmas and you've already seen my face. My name is Lee Luthor." [/color] Lee said crisply. His next statement was spoken without overt menace stated merely as a simple fact, imbued with the same confidence that one might use in declaring that the run would rise in the east. "Any slip-ups or abuse of that knowledge will come with consequences, naturally." Lee eyed the other again. "And you?"[/blockquote]

Scorn noticed the forcefulness and intelligible words. Continuing to walk down half way of the wall, he wondered how someone was just so arrogant. He grinned as he stared at the wall in front of him. He knew this team would come together well, if this was just a glimpse of it. Atleast, this guy didnt play around, a trait that Scorn liked.
"I'll only use that if I have to but for the time being I dont think i need to." He turned in the direction of Lee, and regarded him with some respect, so far. "Names Andy Mallory, Codename is Scorn. You can use it however you please, just dont bad mouth me is all, I have a reputation to uphold. If you though you will have some consequences of your own." He said the with a malicious grin on his face.
"Anyways lets not talk like this, were going to be teammates. Oh and just so you know don't expect me to act so open in the field, I know this is going to be a cake walk to I dont have to put my game face on mostly for this." He did looked at his phone and then headphones. "So what can you do?"

The codename was surprisingly original. At least, that was to say it was more unpredictable than Lee would have guessed. He half expected given the other's display for his name to be something as pedestrian as Bolt or Shockspark or something electric themed. Scorn may have sounded like the name of a heavy metal band but at least it wasn't drab and obvious. That moved the fellow up a few notches in respect for Lee.
"If by 'do' you mean so-called 'super-power, then nothing. Sorry to disappoint." Lee explained with a dismissive wave of his hand. He sniffed imperiously and glanced over at Scorn before resting a hand on his own chest.
"What I do is not easily defined." Lee explained further. He rolled his eyes upwards in thought a moment, tapping his chin with a finger and then shrugging. "Suffice to say that I'm one of the most brilliant people on this or any other world."
"By way of example, if you need a shrink ray or a giant mechanical spider or someone to build you a secret lair inside a dormant volcano, I could probably have it done by breakfast." Lee smirked arrogantly and put his hands on his hips. "Hell, if it tickles your fancy I could even splice you up a pack of flying monkeys."
"In short, if you need something built or something designed or a serum formulated that's my department. My phone here would make a few supercomputers weep and I could probably use it to target something with a missile from space but in the field I mostly use this."
He tapped on the cellphone a moment and then it chimed and the training room itself beeped in response. A few warning lights flashed briefly before a panel in the floor opened up and a large mechanized suit of battle-armor that towered 9 and a half feet tall emerged. It's eyes flared to life and it took a few heavy, leaden steps forward before kneeling in front of Lee and the face-plate flipped back and the chest lowered forward to allow him to climb inside.
"This is my warsuit, based on designs that were meant to be used against Superman himself." Lee explained with more than a hint of pride in his voice. He stepped up on the knee and had himself inside without seconds before the suit sealed itself up again and stood once again at it's full height.

Scorn just listened as he spoke, going on about what he could do with his genius-level intellect and his capabilities. He was amazed at all this, yet, no super-power. Normally, the headmistress grant her pupils powers. He felt it didnt matter though, and maybe he would ask that question later, cause the next thing Leland did was show him a giant of a mech suit.
Scorn laughed cause it was epic. He couldnt imagine fighting along something like that, but whatever to get the job done. He just stared as Leland got in side. He was curious to see what the heroes would think of this, when faced against it.
"That is a beast of a suit, its twice as tall as tall as you. Looks well beyond sturdy and Im pretty sure most heroes wouldnt know how to compete with it. I have to say, Im impressed." He was curious as to with his own skill if he could take it down. Having before taken down foes that anyone else would have thought far superior then him. This thought intrigued him, but again that would be something for another time.
"Do you know of any others that are suppose to be joining us?"

Lee watched as the his head's up display ran through a check of the warsuit's systems. A string of 'green light' indicator's flashed and he flexed his fingers and watched as the suit responded. He moved his arms and legs and nodded in satisfaction at the smooth articulation. The mech's head turned and the sensors focused on Scorn's face and scanned it for recognition and saved it for future reference.
"I'm afraid not," Lee responded, his voice disguised by the suit in a much deeper, metallic tone. He made a fist with the suit and made a few practice swings before leveling the arm out and directing it at various targets in the room the targeting software following his eye-movements to assist in locking on to what he wanted to fire at. The energy wells centered the palm of the suit's hand flared up with a bright green glow with an electronic whine as it charged. At the last minute, Lee closed the hand and the charging stopped.
"Our dear headmistress likes to keep her cards close to her chest." Lee chuckled. The large beam cannons mounted on the back in standby mode pointed skyward but as Lee activated them they slid upward and over the shoulders to lock into place there directed in front of him.
"So, given the little light show you put on as I entered I take it you're electrokinetic?" Gear inquired as he continued to check everything on the suit out.

Pink phone buds within each ear, the teen moved down the halls of the academy with little care of where she was going. After all this time being here, she knew HIVE like the back of her hand. Though today, instead of going to class, she would have to make her way towards the training area. Why was she doing this? Because Abby was one of the few that would be placed within a team. The news hadn't exactly brightened her mood, but she dare not refuse the headmistress...less become a mindless slave.
But who were these people she was to work with? There had been no mention of their identities to her, but she was certain that they were from within the school. If anything, she might end up babysitting idiots. It would match the run of luck she was having this week. After all, she had gotten in trouble from setting one boy on fire to the point that he was sent to ER for 3rd degree burns. Not to mention that she still had to clean the halls for another three weeks for not killing him and simply making him suffer. Either way, it was likely going to be bad news.
Walking into the room, she saw that she wasn't too far off point. A boy in a machine and a guy that looked like a reject from Soul Reaver. Was this really her team?
"Great....The Tin Man and Scarecrow...Ain't this most twisted version of the Wizard of Oz...."
Leaning against the wall, she crossed her arms over her chest as she scanned the blonde with more interest than Lee. Raising her brow slightly, she smirked as she shook her head. Maybe it would be a totally loss.

Just as Scorn was about to answer Gear, someone else walked in. He noticed that it was a girl, a very pretty one at that. He would have to take note to talk to her after this is over, privately. For now though he would talk to her casually as to not give anything away. He turned towards her as she addressed them.
He chuckled at her pun, he had to admit it was good. "Well atleast I can commend you for upholding the stereotypes and getting high marks." He sarcastically claps at her. He wasn't trying to be funny but new jokes like those, help break the ice. "And who might you be? Dont tell me your a genuis too?"

The black haired youth strolled into the training room, the door sliding open to allow him to enter. The H.I.V.E. five, the strongest of all the members of H.I.V.E. put together in a team, oh the joy. Having a bunch of strong egos thrown together into a ragtag team would be the most annoying situation that Zeke has had to deal with as of yet at this silly little school he had been thrown into. Although he appeared to be calm, Zeke had quite the reputation for forcefully shutting the mouths of those he didn't particularly like. Or rather for beating the living daylights of anyone who attempted to test him. People could try him all day long if they pleased, they'd just quickly learn that he had no patience.
Zeke found a nice spot against the wall, leaning up against it as he simply watched everyone else converse. As long as no one bothered him, then he'd pretty much leave them alone. Not like he was all that violent, but he wasn't the one to tease or mess with. Hell, he may have been the only person in the room who actually has killed anyone before. In other words, he had that sort of ability, to kill without hesitation.
"Eh. This doesn't look too promising."

Inside his warsuit, Lee arched a brow as the new arrivals straggled in. Whatever talents, abilities or fluke of genetics they possessed weren't immediately apparent. He set the sensors of the suit to a high level and trained them on the pair. The suit could monitor things like heart-rate, body temperature and ambient energy signatures to see if it picked up anything unusual during this little meet and greet. Though given the forwardness of Scorn in regards to asking him about it, Lee had no doubt it would be the same for these two.
"Oh, if I only had a heart." Lee quipped, peeling back the face plate so that could speak to them face-to-face and in his own voice.
"And my, my," He continued dryly with a bit of a smirk. "Aren't we just a cool and aloof bunch?"
It seemed rather obvious that no one involved with this venture seemed terribly thrilled, enthused or impressed thus far. Except perhaps for Scorn who did seem an actual interest in this team. Lee knew though that no matter how laid back or put out about it anybody seemed when the headmistress said 'jump' there wasn't much else to do but ask how high.

Removing her ear phones, the ebony haired female closed her eyes as she shrugged her shoulders. At least he showed some interesting qualities, he didn't seem to lack a sense of humor. Even if he did seem to lack the ability to come up with better comebacks. Still, it was better than him getting all prissy. Too many dark brooding guys roamed these halls. Which made her laugh lightly when she saw the next face to enter the room.
In all appearances, he looked exactly like a few of the guys she'd seen around the academy. It made Abby mentally bet that he was way too uptight, even for her. Though she wouldn't deny that she had a thing for guys with dark pasts. A turn on, yet she found herself agreeing with the teenage robot, their group was looking rather different than some of the organizations she'd seen or heard about.
"Too true, but I always do find myself wanting to be different"
Smiling towards Lee, she then let her gaze turn towards Scorn.
"As for what I am...Lets just say I'm a live wire...Hot on the outside....and inside.."
With a wink, she then stared at the new arrival as she rolled her eyes towards him.
"And you missed that statement a few seconds ago..Its pretty well established that we're all not exactly thrilled to be here and are sarcastic bastards...."

Scorn grinned at the girl as she spoke of being a live wire. If only she knew what he could do, he could possible power a whole city, but he has never tried. Looked upon the three faces that were in the room. He was curious as to how they would really work together. The Headmistress would have just thrown together a team she knew wouldnt work though. Whether they all will get along or not, they all would listen to the Headmistress.
Focusing his attention back on the girl, he would like to see how hot she got. "What's your name and why dont you give us a little tease of what you can do, miss hot."
Looking back at Gear, "Hey, why not see if your friend over there can take you?" He turned his head to look at the mirror tinted glass sitting high above the training area. Giving them a show is what they wanted, to see what we are capable of together.

"Sarcasm isn't in short supply, I'll admit that." Everyone seemed lively enough, but Zeke knew enough about combat to know that the chatty fellows were usually the ones to get injured first and die upon the battleground, that's just how it was. Being strong and being a metahuman simply wasn't enough when it came to being successful, not anymore. After all, the good guys have become mildly smarter after all being eradicated. But it seems that in that aspect, the super villains have become quite worthless and there were no real notable villains as of lately.
"However, it seems like blondie is anxious to do something silly, if not stupid." His crimson eyes flashed over to the blond guy whom he already labeled as the idiot of the group thus far. What was the point of displaying their abilities? To simply see who had the bigger stick?
"Besides, why ask the lady for a show, when I can I perform a symphony? The harmony between my seven sins is almost...artful." The black haired teen stepped forward, his red hat mysteriously disappearing in a small flicker of light. No need to get his hat dirty, not now. A smirk slid across his face, taking a second to look over at the girl once more.
He wasn't exactly sexist, but something told him this guy had more up his sleeve than she understood and that he'd have no problem hitting her with what he had at full force. Zeke, an older brother, definitely didn't like the idea of girl being overpowered. Especially for the sake of egos.
