Black Canary snuck through the outer perimeter of the old warehouse now being used to store drugs. Drugs that would be sold to young children on playgrounds and people who thought they had nothing to live for except getting high. And the people who sold those drugs were even worse- violent animals that needed to be put down.
For now, she kept her sonic gauntlets inactive. The problem with sonic weapons was that such weapons were very loud. She glanced around, taking note of the guards' positions. She didn't use any truly long-range weapons, but she was starting to think learning how to use some might be a good idea. Of course, most suck weapons would be lethal and would take time to learn. And she didn't like guns- she'd had far too many pointed at her recently. Guns were the weapons of police and thugs, but not her.
One thug wanders close to the Canary and she resists the urge to take him down. No. For now her mission is stealth. Once she gets to the drugs she can take them all out. But if she turns attention to them too quickly, she will alert them to her presence. She sneaks toward the area where the drugs are stored and leaps from the shadows, taking out the guard before he has a chance to fire his weapon. She moves toward the drug shipment, finding a crate full of white powder. She takes out the homemade bomb of hers- a grenade that should burn up all the drugs here.
Her attention is diverted by another figure darting through the shadows. Then she hears "intruders!" followed by gunfire.

Doing things on her own was getting a bit dangerous. Of course, Batman never would have been okay with Robin trying to fight a crime on her own like this, but with him in Metropolis, she couldn't stop herself. She needed to see what she was capable. There really wasn't much Batman could do to punish her. Her father had entrusted him to take care of her, and if he did try to punish her... well, she'd just keep doing this stuff anyway. If she got hurt, her father would be upset with him. It was rather perfect for her.
In any case, Robin now found herself having been caught much easier than she would have anticipated after having accidentally stepped on some twigs within the wearhouse. Crap! she thought internally. She was now forced into combat with these rather intimidating men. Nonetheless, they weren't much for her. One by one, she quite easily dispatched them. A sweepkick was enough to bring some of them down, though this Robin, was particularly fond of nailing men directly between the legs with the steel soles of her boots. Yes, painful indeed.
Emily wasn't nearly the strongest of the Robins, but when it came to agility, she was as talented, if not more so, than her father had been. Dodging the average gunfire was mere child's play for her. All the men in this room were soon brought down, however, it wasn't much later when Robin came to notice someone else in the room. A woman, apparently.
Emily quickly did a variety of acrobatic manuevers, mostly consisting of cartwheels and flips before landing on the crate which Black Canary had just placed a grenade in. Kneeling on top of it, Robin looked down at the Canary rather curiously. By the look of it, she had nothing to do with the drug dealers. If she had anything to do with them, she was probably nothing more than their concubine. Of course, one could come to that conclusion by her skimpy outfit.
"This place isn't safe for little girls. Get out of here while you still can."

The shadowy figure came into view- a young girl in a brightly-colored tight costume. Canary's eyes narrowed as the girl told her to get out of the way. "Screw you!" she spat. "I can take care of myself, you circus freak. Besides, you don't look any older than me. Probably younger."
"Don't fire! You'll hit the merchandise!" screeched the drug dealer. The gunfire subsided. "Idiots!" he yelled.
Heh. Saved by the greed of the criminal underworld. Of course, Black Canary was going to have to leave here at some point....and she didn't see a back door. And it looked like the place was well-constructed enough that she couldn't blast one...unless she used her little homemade bomb for that instead of destroying the drugs.
Well, Canary didn't plan on leaving without knocking a few heads. She set up the bomb. It was a fuse-type bomb- simple but dangerous. She had calculated that there was about a minute delay from the time she lit the fuse to the time it went off. She took out a lighter and lit the fuse.
"I'm fighting my way out of here. We've got a minute before that bomb goes off- and we wanna be far away before that happens, else we go up with the drugs." She gave a maniacal grin. "And we hope I didn't put in too much fertilizer to that bomb."
She took a small sack of cocaine away from the crates- police could use it as evidence. She didn't trust the police with a whole batch of the stuff- it would mean the crooks would do less time, but also decreased the odds that something would go "missing" from an evidence locker. "Evidence" she simply said to the other woman. She tucked the bag away in the bag she had brought the bomb in. Then she darted between crates, threw up her hands and unleashed the power of her gauntlets. The sonic blast caused the thugs to drop their guns and clutch at their bleeding ears. Canary took advantage of their reflexive action, cartwheeling toward them and taking one down with a side kick to the face, and another with a kick to the knee. She heard a crack and the one she had kicked in the knee screamed. The one she had kicked in the face was clutching his broken nose.

Robin had obviously made a mistake somewhere. She had thought she brought all the crooks down, but they were still coming seemingly from out of no where. This place was obviously infested, though it was nothing she couldn't handle. Robin didn't need Batman to deal with crooks of this caliber. They were so weak. Most of them didn't even know anything about martial arts. The extent of their knowledge was how to fire a gun, and they really weren't even good at that.
"Evidence? Sure," Robin said rather sarcastically, though it was meant more as a joke... at least she hoped the woman wasn't planning on doing the drugs. She couldn't know for sure, but she'd give her the benefit of the doubt for now.
Robin followed behind Canary. She wasn't going to let this girl out of her sight. Partially because she was intrigued by her, and partially because she wanted to make sure that the young woman didn't get hurt. Dealing with criminals was more Robin, Batman, and Nightwing's thing. She hadn't heard of other heroes going around and fighting crime. She wouldn't admit it, but quite frankly it was a bit upsetting to Robin.
However, suddenly, Robin was forced to the ground clutching her ears. Something the woman had just done had unleashed a dangerous sound into the air which had made Robin lose all balance. It was incredibly painful, and now her ears were even starting to bleed. She rolled around on the ground waiting for it to stop, and even after she did, she could still feel that ringing.
"God damnit! What was that?!"

Huh. She hadn't thought about the other girl when she engaged her sonic gauntlets. Well, she had been planning on doing this job alone, and her weaponry wasn't designed for team situations. If you could hear the sonic blast, you suffered from it.
"Either stay down and shut up or help me take 'em out!" Canary shouted. Actually, the girl should get going no matter what. That bomb was going to go off, after all. Canary vaulted over a crate and kicked a gangster right in his face who was reaching for his fallen gun. She took another gun and hurled it at a gangster's face. Bullseye! Right in the nose! And guns weren't even that aerodynamic. She finished him off with a knee in the groin. She took a look around to confirm all of the thugs were down for the count, then charged ahead.
Two gangsters were firing at the two of them as they exited, but a great many gangsters were knocked unconscious or rubbing their heads in confusion. Canary pointed toward the stunned enemies as they took cover behind a forklift. "That your handiwork?" she yelled, starting to feel a little impressed by the other girl after all.

Getting up really wasn't easy to do when you were bleeding from the ears. Damage to ones ears easily threw off balance, which made standing up so much harder by itself. Even now, she could feel the ringing in her ears. Still, she wearily got up to her feet enough to see the other girl running ahead. The gunmen were still nearby, and there were more of them, though they were soon dispatched.
In any case, with her balance so out of whack right now, she needed time to get reoriented, Instead, she followed behind the Canary and allowed her to do some of the fighting from here, and just did her best to make sure she didn't get shot. As they exited, she heard Canary say something to her, but with the ringing in her ears, she barely understood it.
"Wha... what?" She asked completely baffled.

Black Canary could tell the other woman was still fighting off the effects of the blast. Well, even if she had taken down most of the thugs, she was going to be fighting with a handicap until the effects of the sonic blast wore off. The brightly-costumed woman couldn't even make sense of Canary's question, even with her pointing at the fallen thugs. It looked like it was up to her to finish up the fight. Which was kinda hard....man she wished she had some ranged weapons. She was kinda pinned down at the moment.
A bullet tore through the forklift she was taking cover behind and Canary yelped. She fired a blast towards the thugs and they cringed. "Sorry!" Canary yelled to the other woman. She darted from cover and quickly disabled the thugs with a flurry of blows. She gestured for the woman to follow her and started running. She felt the shockwave from the explosion and it knocked her from her feet. She could feel the heat from the explosion and a piece of wooden shrapnel flew over her head.
Note to self: just because you can make explosives does not mean you know how to use them. The other woman looked okay, though.
