Unlike the many Robins before, Emily Grayson was actually subjected to a normal high school education. She couldn't say she liked it so much more than being homeschooled. It really didn't matter to her much either way. She found that a large majority of the other students were rather immature, and what problems they had were so trivial she couldn't get herself to socializing with many of them. They simply didn't click.
Regardless, Emily still went to the Gotham Academy, which was known as the greatest Private School in the state of New Jersey. It was also known to be the school for the richest kids in the state as well, as the price simply to attend was close to 100 grand a year. In any case, Emily was now walking home alone in her normal school-girl uniform.
It was a route she took every day, and as usual, she was taking it alone. Pretty much all of her classmates got ride home from nannies or parents. This left her to walking down the streets of Downtown Gotham alone as she headed to the Wayne Manor.

Now normally, Chris could simply walk away from the girl happy to have attempted to go out with her.... But this one bugged him, perhaps it was the fact she was a hero...or just...some other random chemistry going on but he wanted to actually chase after her. Or perhaps he simply hit his head one too many time's but he had hoped that was not the case. As he oh-so-casually walked toward her. Now, walking at this point he hated - What was the point of walking when you could run as fast as you wanted? But, For her he would do so. They passed and he didn't say anything, well - until he held up her cell phone. "Hey, I think you dropped this!"
He said to her as he 'jogged' toward her to hand it to her. Now, Okay so what? He pick-pocketed her real quick but... hey, It was always a nice conversation starter!. Handing it to her - When she would take it he would make sure to 'accidentally' touch her hand. "Oh, Wow - You go to Gotham Academy?" He said quickly trying to start a small conversation with the girl... "Um... This is going to sound weird but..." he looked around. "Would you at least let me walk you to the better portion of town? It can be kinda dangerous here for a beautif-" He quickly looked away. "Girl like yourself..." he stated. Pretending to hope that she didn't hear him almost call her beautiful. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

[/img] "Thanks," Emily said as she took the phone back from him. It was somewhat of a surprise to her that she had dropped it. It had been securely in her pocket and she hadn't been using it or touching it in a while. Plus, if she had dropped it, she would have heard it. Things weren't loud around here and the sidewalk was made of cement. Nonetheless, she could accept that maybe she had dropped it and just hadn't realized it. She had never been the most graceful person in the world.
"Yeah, I go there," she answered him, though she was sure his question was rhetorical. It was written all over her uniform. She was obviously a student or a flunky who missed her old school so much that she still walked around in the old school uniform. The latter would have been ridiculous. However, with his next question, she almost laughed.
Apparently, he thought she needed some kind of protection on her walk home. Little did he know that she was one of the world's most capable women when it came to self-defense. She was even certain she was much more of an adept fighter than he was himself... and the beautiful comment? He sounded rather shy, trying to hide the fact that he had said that. It easily lead her to some suspicions. He liked her... and he was hitting on her.
"Such a gentleman. By all means, come along and... protect me," she could barely say the last words without cracking up, but she somehow managed. While she held her laughs inside, she couldn't keep a straight face. There was a small snicker, but soon after, she regained her composure.

"Wow, You're lucky - I've heard it's an amazing school."
Looking at her uniform. Of course, looking at both of her eye's as she played what he just asked her in her head. He loved her reaction as she said it with such...grace. He wanted to burst out laughing himself but hey, That would not be fun. He played it off as he shrugged. "...Heh..." Hearing the snicker he softly smirked. "Well, Maybe it is you who will protect me? After all it is a very scary pwace"Saying the last bit a tad bit childish for sarcastic purposes. He shrugged a little as he started to walk along side of her. He would play along for awhile, It wasn't as if he was 'trying' to hide the fact he was the Flash - But she never did ask if he was. "So, I guess introduction's should be in order? I'm Chris! Nice to meet ya" He smiled at her. [[After their introduction's I was thinking of having a robbery or something happen, Possibly for them to even work together xP Would be entertaining]] [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"I'm Emily Grayson," she said rather politely. She raised her hand to shake hands with him. He was rather humorous in his speech, and she still couldn't shake off that feeling of familiarity. Still, she knew that she hadn't met Christopher anywhere before now. She was pretty good at remembering people, so if she knew him before, she wouldn't forget his face.
"I'm the strongest person in this city right now, so if you stay close to me, you will be safe," She said to him with a smile, though she was being completely honest. With Batman out of town, she really did believe she was the strongest person in the entire state. Of course, she hadn't been in any competitions or anything to publicly gain her title.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Emily."
He smiled, Now that wasn't so hard. They were already getting to know each other much better then they had the very night before when she was trying to kill herself. "Oh? Strongest....I'm jealous - I wish I Was that strong." He laughed a bit looking at her again as they continued on there way. "So....um, P-perhaps your hungry...or... something? Maybe... I mean- j-just to eat." lying a bit on the last part. He rubbed the back of his neck all embarrassed like. He acted a bit different then the night before, well because he did not wear a mask this time around. It was always easy to say such thing's when you were hiding your face. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Somehow it felt rather strange to Robin that two different guys were making such forward passes on her two days in a row, especially when she rarely got any at all. The boys who knew her were much too intimidated by her, and now this random guy from out of no where. She felt she should be suspicious about something. She just had a feeling in her gut that there was something different about this guy, though she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
"Sure... but, how would you like to stop by the Aquarium first?" Emily said as she gestured to the building right behind them. It was the Gotham City Aquarium, a place known to house many species of different fish in a beautiful city environment. Without waiting for him to answer, She sped in doors, only for the man at the ticketbooth outside to turn and scream at her.
"Wait! Ma'am!" He started, but she was already inside the building. Still, he finished his sentence rather unenthusiastically, ... you have to... pay."

For most people the Aquarium was a pleasant place to visit. It offered you a view of the world that only a few people ever got to see first hand and had a very calm aura about it. That was, if you were a human, if you were an Atlantean this place was the equivalent to Concentration Camp. Vaar's mouth was agape as he walked down the window lined halls and looked in at the fish that resided within. He tried to communicate with all that he passed only to find that most were brain dead fools, ignorant of their homes and frightened of the man who spoke to him. Only a few spoke back to him, having been recently captured and brought into this place. A shudder ran through his spine, his smile replaced with a deep scowl. How could this be? How could humans be so callous as to keep these creatures caged like criminals? Atlanteans did not keep humans locked away in cages filled with air! What game them the right to do this?
Vaar didn't bother to think about the ramifications of what he had planned. He simply moved on instinct as he retreated behind the stage where the shows featuring the sea creatures were performed. He tore away his human clothing and revealed his body armor, shimmering blue and black. He reached into the pockets of his jeans and pulled out a small silver cylinder and allowed a crooked smile to grace his lips. Oh, the humans would pay for this, he thought to himself. The cylinder grew warm in his hand as it came to life. He ran forward and dove into the water, creating almost no splash. As he did the cylinder grew into a large harpoon, water swirling about the head creating a trident. He wasn't Johnny, he wasn't Vaar, he wasn't even Aquaman in that moment. No, he was King of the Seven Seas and he was hear to free his subjects.
The water in the tank swirled to life and became a torrent, mimicking the sea in the middle of a storm. It roared to life, waves crashing over the edge and soaking the passerbys. The stopped and stared for a moment as something emerged from the center of the pool. Vaar stood with his arms crossed and a scowl on his face. "For too long my kin have been used as amusement by you heartless air breathers. " he began as he looked at them. Whispers rose among the crowd, but Vaar didn't pay too much attention. "I have come to return them to their homes and destroy this vile place. If you have any qualms stay and be crushed beneath the rubble. If not, I suggest that you all leave." he said as the water in the tanks rumbled and crashed through the reinforced glass. The water flooded the floor making a small replica of the ocean that the creatures should have been birthed into.
Screams broke out as the aquarium flooded, the creatures within making their way into the deepening waters. The inhabitants fled while the security stood, unsure of what to do. Those that made it outside were surprised to see that the water stopped immediately at the edge of the aquarium, as if all of the water was being forced to stay inside. Murmurs broke out amongst the older population. Whispers of a hero often mocked and belittled who often turned against humanity. Aquaman had made his grand return to the human world.

"Aquarium? Sure"
Not what he was expecting - But hey, It did work! Heading to the Aquarium as they entered, turning around to the guard as he stuck his hand in his pocket and quickly paid the man - after all, He couldn't let the women pay for the date! After that she followed on the side of her. Everything was quite nice actually, walking with his hand's in his pocket, It was a very nice day for a change - And that's when the screams happened. 'figures' He growled a little bit, looking over to her. He rubbed the back of his head. Luckily the place was nearly empty and the other's were panicking and running around like chickens with their head cut off. "...Well I should take this as our que to leave!" he said quickly and turned around and started joining the crowrd as they ran up stair's. Playing the part to assume she was with him of course. Only a blur turning a corner once he was out of her sight and changing and in a few seconds later only a blur streaked across her view. Now, he would have to put a proper show on for the lady so he had hoped the man would at least be interesting to fight...He would play around with him for a little anyways to show off.n. Now, He wasn't sure what the man was doing this for - Weirdo's were all over the world so it didn't matter. "What are you suppose to be? Fish man?" He did not see his power display earlier or else he would have at least been a little cautious. Once more vanishing into a blur however, before he could get to his goal [Aqua man] he slipped and slid across the floor and hit the wall pretty hard. "OW!" He rubbed his head, Now noticing that they had to use nice flooring in here... It was one thing to look at, another thing to run at his speed's when it is wet. Picking himself back up "Ha! Tricked you!" He said quickly, to hide the embarrassment of his screw up. 'Great, just had to pick a fight with a weirdo in the worst possible place... What's the point of being a genius if you can't even spot the obvious!' He mentally bitched at himself. "You should just... Surrender ya'kno, It would be easier on you... I'll make sure to get you a pet fish while your in jail though! So it's not all for naught!" [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Emily looked around. Somehow she had lost sight of Christopher. That boy could be fast apparently. It was rather fortunate, however, because it meant that she could go into action. While she wouldn't be able to change into her Robin outfit, she didn't want to get Christopher involved unless she had to, and if she went to go fight, chances were that his 'male pride' or whatever would make him try to either fight with her or drag her away.
However, as of now, she was having a lot of difficulty getting through the crowd. There were so many people going in the opposite direction from what she was trying to go. Still, she was doing her best to fight through this traffic and get to where the true action was.

It pleased Aquaman to see that almost everyone had left, including the security guards who had stood still, frozen by their sense of duty and fear. This might be easy after all, he thought to himself as he turned, ready to gather his captive kin and return them to the sea. He raised his trident, the waters around him stirring and beginning to rise before a shrill voice broke his concentration. Aquaman cast a glance backwards to see a young man dressed in yellow and red. His first thought was to simply brush the child away, but he caught himself. That pattern, that lightening bolt, those colors... He had heard about them before. He found himself smiling, though the current situation robbed it of mirth, leaving it as cold as the winter sea. A name shot through his head; Flash. Aquaman made a full about face, dipping his trident towards the other hero. "I am-" Just as Vaar was about to introduce himself the child slipped upon a puddle of water and went speeding across the ground.
Even in the tense situation the every cheerful king of the seas couldn't help but let out a soft snicker. He watched as the young man recovered and he pressed his trident against the "hard" water he stood on, leaning upon it in a nonchalant manner. "Aquaman, if you must know." he said as he looked over the younger hero. From Vaar's reckoning he seemed to be in his late teens, only a few years younger than himself. "Going by the color scheme and that little... display, I'm going to have to go ahead and say that you're Flash. Or at least, a Flash." he said, his silver eyes meeting the boy's. Vaar's heart soared to know that there were other heroes about the world. He wished that they could have met on different terms, it could have been much friendlier, but now they were on opposite sides. None evil, just two sides with opposite views. Aquaman's gaze didn't shift and only intensified as the Flash spoke.
"I suggest that you heed your own advice." he said, straightening up. "My quarrel is not with you. I simply wish to take my subjects back to their home where they belong. Will you step aside and let us go?" Aquaman asked, hoping to appeal to the speedster's morals. Of course, not many people would be able to understand how the fish felt or even care for them at all. Not with out being inside their minds and feeling the terror they had felt and the sense of no purpose. Humans had little concern for those that were not human feeling that everything else was insignificant, beneath them. "Or," he added with a sigh,
"Will this have to be settled by other methods?" Vaar had no wish to fight, he simply wanted to leave, but if he had to he would. This was not how Vaar'en had imagined his first meeting with a super hero. No, in his childish mind it had gone much better. He would swoop in, save the day, and then be offered a spot in the Justice League like his predecessor. Too bad things never seemed to go how you wanted them to.

Looking at the man holding a weird trident - This guy was more crazy then he thought at first. Listening to the man laugh at his accident caused him to bite his lip - the jerk was making fun of him. However, as the man introduced himself Kid Flashes eye narrowed on the man. Before he could even speak however, the man called him out by name as he softly smirked. "So you heard of me!"
He won't lie, he was excited that his name was getting around until hearing him mention or at least, a flash he softly groaned. Thinking for a second as he remembered the name Aquaman. "...Aquaman... Isn't that the guy who talks to fishes? heh..." He snickered at the man introducing himself behalf at the thought - what a useless power... If he could control water he might be a pain... "So, You want me to go...after you destroyed this place and scared all the people in here? For all you know this little 'liberation' could kill someone, Or do you not know how electricity works?" He narrowed his eye's - This man was full of himself, his ego was huge - Much like Chris's but hey - who's judging. He got into more of a fighting stance, there was still a way that he could get to him without slipping. Well two, but one was.... not really an option or else he would do more damage then the man before him did to the place. "So, I Tell you again - Surrender... I'm sure someone believe the fishy king." He actually didn't want to fight either, everyone never surrendered so he was forced to fight. "You can do whatever you want with the fishes, I know I wouldn't want to be put on display but you however... You could of harmed someone and still can harm someone - I can't forgive that." So, All he would have to avoid was the water and the very pointy Trident - easy as hell. "It will be a one sided fight if you wish to fight with me..." he said, overly confident in his ability. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"I know how water works." Vaar retorted as he pretended to pick at something that was stuck to his trident. He wasn't in the mood to be told what to do. After all, he was a king and he bowed to no one, let alone be chastised by some random child off of the streets. "Those people would have been fine. Unlike them, I actually think about the consequences of my actions and how they affect others. Besides, I gave them a fair warning before I decided to do anything to drastic." he said with a deep, groaning sigh. He had expected the boy to back down, but that didn't seem to be the case. He shifted, lowering his center of gravity into what he could assume was a air breather's fighting stance. The boy's words elicited a smile from the sovereign. He was confident. That wasn't a bad thing, but it might be dangerous.
Vaar had heard of how the surface often mocked his idol for being only useful in situations requiring water. It made him laugh. They had no idea what an Atlantean was capable of. "So be it..." he said as he picked up his trident and slammed it onto the hardened water. The walls of the tank fell apart, crashing onto the ground and sending small waves towards the new Flash. The water formed a staircase that Vaar'en descended with ease. He was a bit taller than the other boy and his Atlantean body armor clung to his defined body. He assumed his own fighting stance, his trident poised forward ready to impale anything that got within it's reach. Strangely, the barbs upon his trident dulled, though not visibly. He wasn't sure whether it was the fact that he was fighting against another hero or that he couldn't stand taking a life that caused him to do so.
Vaar wouldn't make the mistake of underestimating the other man. He had heard tales of the original Flash and respected him. He would approach this child in the same manner, whether he deserved it or not. A magical, invisible aura surrounded Aquaman's hand, flowing into the trident creating a visible, and audible, crackle of energy across it's silvery surface. "I wish you luck." he said, the sincerity in his voice was genuine and didn't match the situation and, unlike most villains who plagued the world, he didn't attempt any sneak attack. He choose to meet the man head on. That was a mistake on Vaar'en's part.

It's not everyday one gets to fight a man with a huge trident that control's the water....That is able to talk to fishies. As the man refused to back down slamming his trident into the water. Chris watched the water as the waves started to get closer to his feet, taking a few step's back as if to avoid the water... Call it a feint. He could easily walk on water, the whole thing was - when he did he usually was away from anyone or anything that could get damaged. Thinking everything over now, he should have waited till he was out in the open....Dammit. As the man started walking closer and closer, watching as the crackle of energy gleamed over the surface of his trident.
"Heh, Same to you"
With this, as quick as a person could blink he blurred right toward Vaar, using the same water the man made stairs out of to attack Chris, now running so slow on top of water was...kinda taking a chance - He was running much slower then he normally did, Going in for a simple punch in the gut - To knock the wind....or...water...or whatever out of Vaar. If the man dodged or somehow avoided that shot, his next trick would be to grab that trident away from Vaar so that he didn't end up on the other end of the dang thing which would really really really suck. Emily was almost exhausted simply from having to make her way through that crowd of people without any of her tools to help her. Luckily, her endurance was of the highest caliber, so she was actually quite fine. Still, she had broken a sweat, which was really saying something. In any case, she was going to be rather careful right now. She had heard there was a dangerous water man nearby, so she was going to be cautious. It was always necessary for a hero without powers to remain on her guard.
Nonetheless, she came onto the scene where the boys were fighting. Emily didn't go into the room yet, however. Instead, she hid next to the doorway and peered around to peek and watch the fight go on. Her eyes opened widely when she saw who was already in there. That's the boy from yesterday... the kid who calls himself 'Flash', she thought, though she could hardly believe it.
He looks like he's doing pretty well. Emily wasn't going to interfere with his fight yet. If he could fight on his own, there was no need for her to get involved. She didn't have any of her tools to help her anyway, though she was excellent in hand to hand combat if it came down to it. Still, for self defense, she reached into her backpack and pulled out a sharpened pencil just in case she needed to use it. For now, she'd stay back.
