If you haven't noticed, your account has a category listed just below 'XP' for your level of Fame. Of course, this may beg the questions "what is fame?" or "how is it used in the rp?". Well, fame actually has a lot of uses in the rp. It is the basis for understanding how well known your character is in the rp by the general world population. Heroes want to get their fame level as high as possible and villains want to get their fame level as low as possible. The higher/lower your fame gets, the more privileges you will gain in the rp. There are many ways to get fame points. I'll start with the most simple. The first is to buy them from the shop. The second way is to earn them in plot threads on the site. Site plot threads will be made into announcements, and by participating in them, you can increase or decrease your fame score depending on what your character does in the plot. If your character makes righteous decisions, their fame will go up. If your character makes evil decisions, their fame will go down. Be aware, if you are a villain and make righteous decisions, you will gain fame points. If you are a hero and make corrupt decisions, you will lose fame points. If your fame points go below zero, your class will be changed to villain and vice-versa.
[/u] Another way to increase/decrease your fame points is by revival. At death, your fame will go up (for villains) or down (for heroes) by one point unless you are already at zero. Upon revival, however, their fame score will go up two (for heroes) or down two (for villains). Ultimately, the death and revival process helps your fame. AccomplishmentsThe final way to increase/decrease your fame is to kill/incarcerate someone whose fame is higher than you. Upon defeating them, your fame will be set one higher than theirs. For example, if you were a Level -2 Villain and kill a Level 5 hero, you will be set to a Level -6 as a Villain. [/ul][/blockquote]
