The gleaming glass windows were the first of many features to come to Madison's view, causing a smile to appear as she continued to fly towards it. It was an old building, yet this was the only place she could think to start. It was home once to Donna Troy, the original Wonder Girl, but could it be the same for her? Twenty-five years had passed since Earth's greatest heroes were taken away from her's grasps. Two of these heroes were members of her tribe, her predecessors. Much more skilled and talented than she was. But she was not here to compare or become better, only to accomplish a mission and a promise.
Descending slowly, her school jacket flowing backwards as if to be a cape, the young amazonian landed upon the land that held the mighty tower, staring up towards it with eyes full of wonder. Her first venture into the world of man, yet with all the stories told to her, they did not have any similarities. Mankind reached beyond the numbers she had dreamed, and from what she saw in her passing over, there appeared to be no danger. Yet she would not question the wisdom of her Queen, her mother.
"Majestic in every way. The walls of Troy would be overshadowed. How long it must have taken to build such a structure of this design...."
Keeping her sack over her shoulder, her gaze moved to each side of her, making sure she was safe. It would be foolish to leave herself unguarded in this place. As old as this place was, she wouldn't doubt the possibility that it was occupied by someone. Of course, it was only a small possibility. Relaxing slightly, the young female continued her trek towards the former base of the Titans. She would need a place to stay for the duration of her stay here. It was a long way back to Themyscira and keeping herself close was the best option. Madison would not return without given a proper evaluation on the status of the outside world.

A long ride this had been, tch, all the way from Gotham City. And to have sent him all the way out here just to check things out? Whatever was in this area, in the Titans Tower to be more precise, it had to be interesting to merit a field trip such as this.
James made his way to the destination, casually walking the streets. A taxi had driven him much of the way, but he had been let off a few blocks down, deciding to head to the tower the rest of the way on foot.
Hands were in his coat pockets as he turned the last corner, finally the large building appearing within his field of vision. It was in such a ridiculous shape, a stand out ‘T’, and was taller than he had expected. No matter, that was now the least of the teenager’s concerns as he watched from the distance. The figure of a girl seemed to be interested in the tower as well, walking toward it, such terrible timing.
Well, he figured he might as well just continue toward the tower as well, there was no way he was going to have let himself journey all the way to New York City for nothing. “The place is abandoned, you know,” he spoke bluntly as he neared the girl, wondering what her business was at this place anyway. Perhaps she just found the appearance of the place intriguing, who knows. It would make the most sense, however, for him to try to find out the real reason she was there. Just in case. “I doubt you’d be able to get inside,” he said with a shrug, his footsteps slowing down to a halt as he stopped to stare upward at the building that towered before him. It did have a sort of wonder to it, though, didn't it?

The voice caught her at a moment where her attention was else where, yet she listened. Madison knew there was a case that it was empty. What heroes remained to have a way within? What hidden beings would attempt to try and make their way in? It was relic of another time, similar to her in a sense. The Titan Tower was the symbol of young individuals who chose to use their abilities to benefit the world of Man, instead of misusing their gifts. It was the starting place for her sister,Donna Troy and many other legends.
Not able to get inside? Prehaps not the conventional way such as with a key. But there were other means to get through a locked gate. Setting her travel sack down on the ground, the young girl breathed out as she then looked towards the boy and smiled gently.
"The Trojans said the same thing about their wall. The sole defense of their kingdom, yet it fell to simple cunning. I believe I can do this....."
Rising up into the air, the young girl rocketed towards the tower door, attempting to ram through it with all her strength. Yet as she drew closer, a beam of energy shot out towards her, knocking her back with enough force to send her sliding along the ocean before finally coming to a stop against the side of Lady Liberty. Shaking her head as she notice the impact of her body against the green female's foot, she bowed politely towards the statue before returning back to the small male's side.
"Perhaps that was a bit rash of me.....Of course their defenses would last so long.......owch..."
Feeling the bump upon the back of her head, Madison rubbed it gently as she attempted to think of another way to get inside.

With a curious gaze, the teenager now watched the girl closely. The Trojans, huh? Well, yeah... but... the situation here really seemed a lot different than that, at least in his opinion it did. Whatever it was that she was planning, it didn’t strike him that she would be successful. That didn’t stop him from waiting to see what she would do, though.
“Woah!” he found himself gasping in surprise as he was shoved forward by a strong wind that had been caused by her sudden rush toward the door. If he had not already known this person here had any powers at all – which he hadn’t! – then it certainly was obvious now. Yet, during that display, something, some sort of beam, had sent the girl rocketing backwards with just as much force, or even more so, so quickly that James was sure she must have been killed.
Interestingly enough, that was not the case either. Soon enough she returned to where she had started, standing beside him as if nothing had happened. “Right... That was kind of what I meant,” the teenager sighed, debating with himself what he was to do now. “The defenses are a lot more aggressive than I would have thought, though,” he said with a slight laugh. Hrm... if this girl didn’t have any more tricks up her sleeve, then he just might have an idea of how they could get in. Whether or not that was the wisest of options, however, he couldn’t be completely sure. Not if she had intentions that would screw his mission up.
Before he went through with attempting his try at getting into the building, he first wanted to find out some more about her. He needed to be cautious with this. Reaching into his pocket, James idly pulled out his cellphone, though the attention of his eye had drifted to the girl. “So then, what’s your business here?” the dark-haired boy finally asked, the question coming out a lot more blunt than he would have intended.

Raising her hair up with both hands, Madison gently used a red scarf to put it within a pony tail. From there, she continued to stare towards the tower in deep thought. She didn't think it would be so aggressive either, or perhaps it was simply the feeling of being outside the elements that were familiar to her. She was strong within Themyscira, but lacked experience in combat that made many her senior. Yet even as strong as she was, she wasn't unbreakable. She could bleed and wound just as easily as anyone else, the fact that she hadn't broken her neck in that last attack was blessing.
There was a possible means of pushing through the front defense, but it would mean deflecting the beam with some kind of shield. The idea of using her Bracelets came to mind. Forged from Athena's shield fragmented shield, what better defense was there? Yet she would only get a limited time in holding off such an assault and that might not be enough time. Truly, the Titans had put a great amount of thought into preparing their fortress.
Yet when she was questioned for her reasons for being here, she found herself somewhat stunned. This was no more than a child compared to her, and yet he spoke so directly that it was as if her were much older. Any other amazon would have likely snapped upon him like a lion for speaking in such a tone, but this was no longer her home. It was a different place all together. A world where man was somewhat dominate, a disgusting image but a truthful one. She wasn't there to start problems, only to try and help in making solutions.
"My reasons are my own child of man, but.....I see no harm in telling you who I am...at least for now...."
Standing tall, she held one hand to her heart as she bowed politely.
"I am Madison Prince, third daughter of Queen Hippolyta. Princess of Themyscira....."
She did not remain bowed for too long, showing only a few moments of respect before returning to answering his question in a sense.
"I am here to help...that should be enough for the moment. If I had come to harm, my task would not have lead me here first. Not to a place that is very special to me and family...."

Third daughter of some Queen he didn’t know? Well, to be honest, the whole way she carried herself, and especially the way she talked, was not something he was used to. Then again, the only girl the teenager had grown used to was that unruly one back at Wayne Manor. Anyway... with the abilities this one had, she probably could have killed him already if her intentions here were anything other than what she was telling him...
Not that it was an idea that gave him very much comfort, though.
“I apologize, then, for my behavior,” the dark-haired teen spoke, following a brief bow of his own. “My name is James Pennyworth, and I assure you, I don’t intend on harming this place either,” he spoke truthfully, a slightly visible smile on his face before he returned his attention to the tower before them.
To carry out his plan, getting closer to the tower wouldn’t be necessary... Though he was quite certain, solely by first impressions, that this Madison probably had another reckless idea in mind. Surely she wasn’t so quick to want to get herself killed by an old building’s security measures...? “I have an idea of how we could get in,” he spoke halfway hopeful that this would work, holding his cellphone out toward the girl, showing her the device as if it would explain to her exactly what he had in mind. Drawing it close to his body once more as quickly as he had extended his arm to show the communication device to the teenager, James decided that he would proceed with his plan, beginning by pushing a few select buttons on the phone.

Once more, the world of man caught her with even more surprises. A man that was actually considerate? He was young though, it was likely he had yet reached his full form. With any luck, perhaps it would stay that way. Looking at him with a blank expression as he retrieved a small device from his pocket, she watched carefully as he began pressing some of the small numbers upon it's frame. Just what was this contraption? It confused her so much that she found herself tilting her head while observing the small child at work. Was this some kind of trap? It was hard to tell for sure.
If it was a set up, I would have sense his lies. He appears to be truthful, for the moment. We shall see how long that continues...
Still watching James at work, she finally took into account the patch surrounding one of the boy's eyes. It was a rather odd sight, but this world was known for its cruelty. Madison thought of asking him about it, but that would be rude. He did not question her origins, and she wouldn't question the matter of his eye. These were more personal inquiries, one that required trust to ask. At least, that was what she was raised to believe. How much the rules of conversation changed in this environment, she was not yet sure what was appropriate.

Aha! A few more buttons were pressed by the teenager, some effort was also taken on his part aside from simple button pushing. Using the cell phone to get into the building was not a task easily carried out by just anyone, after all, it was all a part of his ‘powers’. Powers that even he himself found strange. Really though, communicating with computers and other electronic devices was a bit... strange.
In any case, James was able to communicate to the computer that controlled the building’s security procedures, all through the use of his phone. Once he had access to it, the only thing he had to do was ask it, in a way similar to a telepath, to let down its guard for them. ‘We’re friendly. Turn off the security measures and allow us through.’
There was nothing, no sound to indicate whether the tower’s computer had listened to him or not. The teenager was almost entirely confident that it had worked, but he still had to be cautious when it came to the Titans Tower. Truthfully, he was lucky for the girl’s presence. If she had not been there, then he would have been unaware of just how dangerous the building’s defenses really were... Even just testing to see if the security was off could be dangerous, that is, if he had not been successful... The beam from before had not killed young Madison here, but his body was a lot more fragile than hers.
“That should have worked, but I can’t be completely certain. How shall we test it?”

What should have worked? Had the boy done something to allow them access? But he had hardly moved from his position? Mouth slightly agape, Madison quickly regained her composure as he asked how they would test it his success against the Tower's defenses. Personally, she hadn't the slightest idea. It would obviously require some kind of approach, but it seemed as though neither of them wished to risk themselves. She especially didn't want to go another round with that laser, considering the results of before.
Sighing as she pulled the sleeve of her jacket back, the young girl revealed a solid gold bracelet upon her wrist. Removing from her arm, she looked towards James as she then threw the bracer towards the entrance. It was a foolish move, throwing away a symbol of great importance. But she didn't fear any damage coming to it. After all, it was made from a Goddess's shield. If anything, the beam would just knock it back towards them.
Yet as she waited for the possible blow back, she was surprised to see nothing had happened. In fact, the bracelet simply landed next to the door with no problem.
"What magic has done this?"

Success!
Well... as long as this meant the defense mechanism had been disabled from reacting to living matter, as well as non-living. Madison’s bracelet had landed safely on the ground before the doors of the tower, so James was hopeful the security was off entirely.
“Magic? This is a technological device. A cellphone,” he spoke with an eyebrow slightly raised, holding the object out toward the girl once again as if she should have already known what it was. The fact that she was instead from a place unlike this one had not fully been realized within his mind, Themisyicra, or wherever she had said she was from, was not a place he was familiar with. “Admittedly, it takes a little more than just this device to get the security measures to turn off as they have. But I’m sure you already know of people who have... strange abilities.”
The teenage girl had powers herself, the ones she had displayed not very long ago, thus the explanation would have to make sense to her. Yet if she wanted him to go into detail about it, the boy wasn’t sure if that was really possible. It wasn’t as if he understood it much himself. It was just a little thing, anyway, not something that could allow him to be some sort of ‘superhero kid’ like some others. Nor was it something he spoke aloud about, it was rather... awkward to talk about what he could do. "... Moving on..."

It was strange just how much she really didn't know. A cellphone? Just what was the point of a cellphone? Did it assist in the unlocking of doors? James mentioned that his own unique played a part in this accomplishment, but he didn't say exactly how. Holding a confused look on her face, Madison then nodded in agreement towards the boy as she let her gaze turn towards the entrance as she walked towards it. Reaching doorway, she knelt down to pick up her bracelet, placing it upon her first before looking back.
"So what is your business at the Tower? Do you wish to find some kind of relic? Or are you simply seeking truth?"
This was it...whatever he said now would judge how they would proceed from here. If he lied, she'd know and she would have to deal with him. Of course, she wasn't sure how she would do that. After all, he was no where near as old as she was, could she really fight someone underage? Not only that, but he had helped her so far.....could she really return that help with violence?

The girl’s confusion was noted, but James didn’t feel as though he needed to explain anything further as long as it wasn’t necessary. There was a nod that indicated Madison had accepted it either way, making it easier on everyone. He then followed her as they proceeded toward the tower’s entrance.
Whatever was inside, it was sure to be interesting. A building, difficult to infiltrate, yet it had been abandoned for years, originally serving as the headquarters for a group of people with superpowers... it was reasonable to assume there was at the very least something of interest inside.
Madison's question was a bit odd, considering he'd thought they had already gotten past that. No matter, he would simply explain to her precisely why he had ventured all the way to the old Titans Tower. Though it might also be best if he didn't mention the Batman, just in case. “I’m acquainted with a man who knew those who used to work out of this tower. He requested that I come here to survey what has become of the building, and to determine if it or anything within can be put to any use as it had once been,” he explained, shoving his phone back into his coat pocket as he spoke.

" I see....forgive me for questing you like this. I am simply being cautious....but I feel as though I am insulting you...."
Lowering her head slightly as she looked towards the side, her gaze focused upon the interior within the tower. It was ancient looking, undisturbed and covered in dust. Other than the some blinking lights, it showed no life within it confines. Abandoned for twenty-five years, guarded by a top-notch security. It concerned her if actually opening it was wise. After all, some things remain locked for a reason. Yet, she needed to be here. What lied here was important.
"These abilities you mentioned, the ones that possessed you to open the locks of the tower. Does it bother you to tell me about them?"
Madison looked over her shoulder towards James, smiling slightly as she rested both hands behind her back. She didn't want him to think that she was completely serious all the time, and one of her reasons for coming was to be diplomatic towards the people of this world. Despite him being a child of man, he had aided her. Showing him kindness was the least she could do. Not only that, but he had been honest, something she had not heard was common in most men. Perhaps leaving Themyscira was not so terrible after all.

“Err... well,” the teenager scratched the back of his head, stalling for a few moments of time as he gathered his thoughts. The girl was acting a bit differently now, a little less wary of his actions, or something? It would be good, if that was the case, considering how they both wanted to see the inside of the tower and he wasn’t keen on having her turn on him now for some reason or another.
“I suppose not. It’s just that it’s more of an instinct type thing that I can’t quite explain,” he concluded with a shrug. Pushing forth, he set foot inside the building, hoping to make intriguing discoveries within. He glanced over at Madison for a moment before returning his gaze to what lie in front of him. "And yourself? You certainly have some abilities of your own."
Noticeable upon first glance of the interior was all of the dust that had gathered in the time the tower had been untouched. James had not realized how eerie the tower would actually be on the inside, it was so strange... and empty. Were they the first two people to have entered the Titans Tower in all this time after its abandonment?

"They are not truly my own. Simply gifts from the gods who seemed to favor me....Otherwise, I would be nothing..."
Looking over towards James calmly, Madison returned her focus back to the building interior. Where to begin? She had thought it would be simple to just get the item and then leave, yet this place seemed almost like a maze. It would take some exploration to get a true understanding of where she was going. Of course, that wasn't too much of an option. While she trusted that the security within the tower was down, she would not risk being here any longer than needed.
" But I understand....Some actions are impossible to put into words..yet so long as they are effective..."
A smirk then crossed over her lips as she placed her moved onwards towards what appeared to be a small stair case. It looked to lead towards a small upper deck within the room. Possibly housing some kind of room? The young girl wouldn't lie and say she understood the design of these structures.
"Shall we continue onward?"
