Damon looks continued to search through the files on the computer looking for anything useful. He couldnt find anything useful and time was running out. The download to the drive was complete and they had 5 mins to figure out a way to get. He snatched the drive out and started walking towards Raven.
"Well we dont have much time to look around I saw we just head back to where we came and if we take the wrong floor i guess well have to jump, or dig. Let's Go." He began to run back towards the elevator shaft. Red and Yellow Lights were flashing in the halls and announcing the countdown was now at 4 minutes.

Raven nodded at his words and followed him out of the room toward the elevator shaft. The hallway was cloaked in red and yellow as the alarm of self destruction had gone off around the five minute mark. It was now four minutes until the place would crumble and they were still underground and she felt herself getting tired. In one day she had used her powers more than she usually might in a week. Of course this might be the start of a new beginning for her as well, so she accepted that she would just have to start using her powers more to increase her stamina.
"Get on top of the elevator," she shouted as she ran into it herself. She got herself back through the hatch so that she was in the shaft itself before she held her hands out in front of her and concentrated. Her energy coated the elevator mechanisms and began forcing them to move the elevator up quickly. It was faster than trying to climb the cable in any case.

Damon hopped onto the elevator, and rode it up with her, the countdown was at its 2 min mark now. They had to get out fast before things got worse. They were riding up the shaft pretty fast, he braced himself and jumped in the air a few yards above of the elevator. Taking out his katana he quickly cut a whole in one of the walls and whipped out his gun shooting it blast the cut out block back.
He fell back onto the elevator as he came to the hole. He began to run towards the closest source of light he could see. Not knowing if it was a door or a window. Either way it was a way out and he was taking it. "Dont fall behind."

Raven was too focused to really see what Damon was doing when he jumped, but when he came back down she noticed a light shining from somewhere and he began to run toward it. Still keeping the elevator up Raven also moved to follow Damon as well, running toward the light. As soon as their feet left the elevator she allowed her focus to drop, not looking back to see what became of the elevator.
Pulling the whole elevator up really did take a lot out of her, but Raven kept up as best as she could. Once they breached the light she could see the clear sky. She knew better than to stop running though. Considering the size of the building it would probably be a good sized self-destruct explosion and collapse. At the point of the explosion she felt herself lift from the ground. Holding out her hand she tried to cushion her fall with her energy, but she still ended up rolling across the ground until she came to a stop, laying face up in the dirt and breathing hard. "You alive Damon," she called out, though she did not move from her spot.

Damon moved a piece of concrete from off of him. He felt a little dazed, he hasnt been hit that hard for sometime now. He looked over at the demolished building, and just gawked at it for awhile. Then he heard Raven call out to him and he looked over to her. He let a cough from all the dust and ash, and got up dusting himself off.
"I'll live nothing a few repairs cant fix. How about you?" He walked over to her, and helped her up. He was leaking a white fluid from a scratch on his cheek but he wiped it away."That was real close, atleast we got what we needed from there." He held up the flash drive for her to see.

Raven was lucky she had not gotten crushed by anything, being as tired as she was she probably would have gotten severely injured. She closed her eyes for a moment just to try to slow her beating heart. When she heard Damon speak out, the sound of rubble moving just before, her eyes opened once more. After a moment more she sat up and looked over to where his voice had come from. There was a scratch on his cheek that he was wiping white fluid from. It must be his equivalent of blood.
"I'm fine, a little banged up from the toss and quite tired," she said, wondering if she really did look as tired as she felt. When he held up the flash drive she had to smile briefly before it slowly faded. "So do you heal like a human at all," she asked a bit hesitantly before pointing to the scratch, "does that... hurt?" It was hard for her to sense any feelings from him, but it was probably due to the unfamiliarity of the way he worked and, at the same time, she did not want to hurt those feelings.

Damon nodded when she said she was ok. That was good to know, he didnt want a casualty under him anymore. He turned away from the death walk to start a walk of life now. He was grateful for the turn out of things at this point. His plan was coming together smoothly and things were looking up for his look into the past. She asked him about the cut on his cheek and shrugged, he never truthfully thought about it.
"I was trained to be pain tolerant, so if its not a massive injure it doesnt bother me. As for my healing, I can either go get a synthetic fix or let it heal on its own. Not all of my body is robot, you know." He said this pointing to his heart. If he felt like if he didnt have a heart he wouldnt have changed his way. He would still be walking a deadly path alone as an Assassin for Checkmate.

If he was trained to be pain tolerant did that mean he was trained to hide his emotions as well. She had never tried to sense someone who could hide their emotions so well as that, but she could still feel something from him. It was there, but he just was not so easy to sense. Other people she could read like an open book, but him not so much. This left her in a bit of thought on the subject, but she really did not want to dwell on it too long.
Raven looked at him again and tried to focus a bit, trying to sense if he really did feel any pain from that cut or his injuries. Looking further, she could sense it there, but it seemed blocked, perhaps his pain tolerance training. Sometimes it was not a good thing to hide one's pain or emotions, but sometimes it was necessary. Still, she would rather pain not be there at all. She wanted to try something. "Hold still," she said quietly as she stood up and put her hand to his cut. With what pain she could feel from him she tried to absorb it. In people she tried it on she could take their pain away and even their wounds would heal more. Perhaps she could try here to. [/size]
